The air was crisp, and the lights illuminated Tom Nix Stadium. The stands were filled with energy, spirit, and loyalty. Fans flooded into Christian Brothers High School, and the game hadn’t even started yet. Not only was it the rivalry of the football season that brought everyone together, but it was also the moment when the Christian Brothers Homecoming court was announced. Traditionally, the court is mostly made up of Saint Agnes girls, but this year, Hutchison had three representatives on the court. The winner of the court was also a Hutchison student, Audrey Simmons ’25!
After the court was announced, the real game began. MUS cheerleader Karrington Davis ’25 said, “The energy that MUS brings to every game is incredible. The fans love their team, and even though we lost, the MUS section never stopped hyping up the cheerleaders and football players.” CBHS cheerleader Ashlee Peden ’25 shared, “Honestly, it just felt really good to finally have a win on our senior night. It was incredibly rewarding for us as a team to finally beat MUS for the first time in three or four years. The energy was amazing, and you could feel it radiating.”
