Golden Girl Going Home

Golden Girl Going Home

On December 31, 2021, one of America’s favorite on screen sensations passed away. Betty White acted in multiple radio shows in the beginning of her career. Later she starred in a television sitcom called Life with Elizabeth, where she gained many of her fans. Throughout her career, Betty White was praised for her great acting, especially in comedies. One of her roles she is most known for is her role as Rose Nylund in Golden Girls.

“I am so lucky to be in such good health and feel so good at this age. It’s amazing”, Betty exclaimed. She retired in 2014 at the age of 92. Betty continued to live happy and healthy even to the age of 99.  She was meant to have a 100th birthday celebration shown in theaters around the US, until she passed 17 days prior. It was called “Betty White: A Celebration”. Even after her death, the theaters decided to continue this event. On January 17, 2022 she was recognized with a documentary of her life and some of her proud acting moments. The film took a look back at her Hollywood career. It was Betty’s idea to communicate with everyone watching. “Betty wanted to be gracious and say thank you to her fans”, said Steven Boettcher. This documentary is the last thing that Betty’s loved ones and fans heard from her. It was a perfect, wholesome way for her to say goodbye.
