Back To School Bash

Back+To+School+Bash

On August 26th, the Back to School Bash kicked off the school year with a bang. The theme for the dance was Black and White, and both students and faculty appeared on theme, looking stunning. The atmosphere was lively as everyone had a great time dancing, laughing, and socializing with one another. The event was a huge success, setting the tone for a fantastic school year ahead.

The very first Back to School Bash was during the 2021-2022 school year. The pandemic was coming to an end, so as a way to celebrate going back to normal, the Back to School Bash was created. The event was split into two parts to accommodate the upperclassmen and underclassmen separately as a precaution. The underclassman were in the gym parking lot while upperclassmen were in the courtyard. However, the dance has evolved and now takes place in the courtyard for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.

This year students and their invited guest, wearing their best black or white attire, were drawn to the photo booth, where they took amazing pictures with various accessories. Students and faculty had the option to take their picture in color or in black and white. Everyone gathered around the band, Indigo Avenue, who played many popular songs including “The Chain” and “Good for You.” Even though there was a scare of bad weather, the night ended up being clear of storms.
The Back to School bash is one of Hutchison’s newer traditions and wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, socialize, and have fun.
